About blockHAUS

The blockHAUS (model 2550) is a 2,550 square foot single-family home shell kit with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It's sized as a full-time primary residence for a family, and makes an efficient, low-energy alternative to a conventionally framed house.

The shell is built from ThermaSteel® steel structural insulated panels. Each panel combines light-gauge steel framing, EPS insulation, sheathing and a vapor barrier, so exterior walls reach R-51 with no thermal bridging. Panels ship pre-cut, numbered and labeled with factory shop drawings, and a small crew can close in the shell in days rather than weeks.

You're buying the structural shell. Your contractor completes the foundation, roof covering, siding, windows, doors, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and interiors, so you control the finishes and the budget.
